Yup! 'tis moi. I'm not dead but the flu I had lately nearly killed me. I decided not to die as I have far too much to do.

The main reason for my prolonged absence is 'workload'. 6 days a week, soon to be 7 split between 2 jobs. I'm way too old for this, guys. When I'm not working, I'm sleeping. The cost of living in Australia becomes more ballistic every day but I suspect we're all in that boat. In my previous life, I sported a 'prosperous' silhouette of 106kg. I am now a 'sylph-like' 84kg (still fat but a healthy fat).

For my sins, I have also been seconded by #1 Niece to shoot her Wedding in the near future. These things plus the responsibility of an ageing mother who loses something every day (last episode: Yesterday, pension card with all house keys. Pension card lists our address), have successfully kept me out of any 'loop' you can name. I sound like I'm whining but I am actually enjoying all the activity.......and just when I think I'm totally 'over it', I get paid. Not so sure it makes it all worth the effort because it's not a lot of money but I soon convert it to new and 'shiny' electronic gadgetry...which I have no time to use.

So, there it is. I know some of you have had considerable health issues of late and hope any crises have passed and that you're 'on the mend'. Love to all.

Great to hear from you. Doing great here! Hailey started high school, so that is a trip to and from and my gas bill looks like the National Debt. Then there was clothes and school supplies so know about money crunch!

Hope your mom keeps well and that you find some time to play so that it isn't always all work.

Dorothy... I don't know what you pay for gas... here a US gallon costs about $7.78 we buy by liters.... a month ago we had our car converted to natural gas.... paying 50% less.....
